Design, develop, and operate scalable, low-latency backend Guidance services for navigation. Solve complex guidance scenarios, build customizable solutions for OEMs and niche customers, and create tooling and AWS-based infrastructure to support mapping and navigation features.

Own and execute Mapbox's global tax compliance and strategy: manage income and indirect tax filings, annual tax provision, tax calendar, audits, transfer pricing support, apportionment, account reconciliations, tax footnotes, entity compliance and registrations, and maintain indirect tax software while advising sales/legal on tax implications.

Build and maintain large-scale batch and streaming data ingestion and ETL pipelines for global geospatial datasets. Implement, test, monitor, and optimize backend services on AWS; integrate data with APIs; mentor engineers; reduce technical debt; and participate in design, code reviews, and on-call support to ensure data quality and operational excellence.
