Product Design Interns collaborate with research, product management, and engineering teams to design and launch features for Kiva.org. Responsibilities include conducting user research, creating UX flows, wireframes, and Figma prototypes, contributing to the design system, participating in design critiques, and explaining design decisions. The six-month, part-time remote internship is volunteer-based and provides an $800 monthly stipend.

Leads Kiva’s public relations, media strategy, partner campaigns, thought leadership amplification, LinkedIn presence, and communications analytics. Responsibilities include media pitching, journalist relationship management, PR agency coordination, campaign development with partners, executive visibility at industry events, content strategy, performance reporting, and sharing insights across teams. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Creative, Strategic Partnerships, and external organizations.

Supports Kiva’s Business Development team by researching prospective partners, conducting outreach, managing inquiries, analyzing partner performance, creating case studies and pitch materials, and supporting partner onboarding and engagement. The intern also assists with marketing collateral, presentations, charts, graphs, and borrower-support content while developing partnership-building, research, communication, and relationship-management skills.
