Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs HVAC and other critical building systems at a large Federal Reserve facility. Responsibilities include monitoring equipment readings, responding to service requests, completing work orders, interpreting schematics, managing refrigerant compliance, treating piping systems, supporting preventive maintenance, optimizing BAS operations, and responding to emergencies. The role works onsite on second shift and requires collaboration with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing teams.

Supports Federal Reserve research and development on digital money and payment technologies, including digital currency, tokenized assets, smart contracts, ledger design, and cryptography. Coordinates with legal, audit, finance, procurement, and other stakeholders; develops process improvements and management reports; and supports agile planning and delivery. The role is designed for undergraduate or graduate students interested in payments, finance, government, law, business, economics, or engineering.

Performs building maintenance across hardware, partitions, tile, masonry, furniture, glass, drywall, ceilings, window treatments, wood structures, and finish millwork. Supports critical building systems and serves internal departments and tenant firms professionally. The role requires onsite work, physical mobility, lifting 20–50+ pounds, climbing, working at heights, and operating indoors and outdoors across varied temperatures.
