Designs, develops, validates, and maintains dynamic simulations and simulation infrastructure for complex systems. Models operational environments, analyzes system survivability, effectiveness, and performance in mission scenarios, and recommends architecture and optimization improvements. The role involves simulation, dynamics, control theory, software development, hardware interfaces, and potentially MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, Linux kernel development, and embedded communication protocols.

Leads technical execution and strategic planning for the Navy Strategic Systems portfolio. Oversees architectures, designs, testing, fielding, sustainment, technical baselines, phase-gate reviews, resource allocation, proposals, and business development. Serves as senior technical authority and customer interface while leading Chief Engineers and mentoring engineering teams. Develops future technology strategies, supports program capture, and ensures solutions meet mission, performance, quality, affordability, and customer requirements.

Designs, develops, tests, deploys, and documents software for mission-oriented applications. Responsibilities include algorithm development, software architecture, requirements analysis, technical risk mitigation, customer communication, and Agile project participation. The role leads small development teams, mentors junior engineers, and delivers scalable solutions across areas including autonomous vehicles, unmanned systems, medical applications, and battlefield situational awareness.
