Designs and prepares contract documents for roadway improvement projects serving various clients. Works within the Highway Engineering Department, applying roadway design technology and relevant transportation standards. Collaborates with project teams and communicates effectively with clients and colleagues. The role is intended for early-career civil engineers and includes professional development through Dewberry’s entry-level class program.

Manages the full lifecycle of complex AEC and federal proposals, statements of qualifications, RFIs, capture plans, and oral presentations. Coordinates multidisciplinary internal and external teams, deadlines, data calls, meetings, and quality control. Develops persuasive sales materials, conducts market and competitor research, maintains CRM and marketing content, supports communications, and mentors junior staff. The role requires extensive proposal management, writing, project coordination, Microsoft Office, Adobe software, and occasional travel.

Leads Dewberry’s Northeast energy practice by developing business strategies, expanding utility client relationships, winning work, managing complex transmission, distribution, and substation projects, and overseeing project financials, quality, staffing, and multidisciplinary teams. The role also includes mentoring staff, supporting recruiting and retention, coordinating sales pipelines, and delivering site/civil engineering solutions for public and private energy clients.
