Staff and Principal Software Engineers will own large technical domains end to end, making architecture decisions, building scalable backend systems, improving reliability and performance, and collaborating with product, leadership, and customers. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, driving cross-team technical decisions, and shipping production solutions. Potential areas include AI telemetry, billing ingestion, cloud data infrastructure, integrations, identity, cost optimization, and customer-facing applications.

Generate qualified sales pipeline by prospecting target accounts through phone, email, social media, and direct mail. Set meetings for Account Executives, meet monthly quotas, communicate CloudZero’s value proposition, develop creative engagement strategies, and maintain accurate activity records in Salesforce and Outreach. This hybrid role requires 3–4 days onsite in the Boston area and willingness to travel as needed.

Own and scale CloudZero’s Kafka and Kubernetes platforms, including Amazon EKS operations, reliability, monitoring, governance, and performance tuning. Build Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, and CI/CD workflows using tools such as Terraform and GitHub Actions. Partner with software engineers to improve application reliability and developer experience, automate infrastructure, and support production systems through on-call responsibilities.
