Performs complex audit and assurance engagements for higher education clients, including accounting procedures, financial statement preparation, transaction review, staff supervision, training, mentoring, and client communication. The role also involves coordinating engagement status with managers or principals and traveling to client sites, including occasional overnight travel. This is an in-office position based in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Lead tax teams delivering compliance and consulting services, manage a book of business, review and sign engagement letters and tax returns, stay current on tax law, and drive business development while mentoring staff.

Supports private equity-backed and growth-oriented companies with post-merger integration, accounting transformation, and financial professionalization. Responsibilities include balance sheet activities, account reconciliations, financial analysis, close process improvements, ERP enhancements, reporting automation, KPI dashboards, and finance integration. The role manages client workstreams, prepares deliverables, communicates project status, collaborates with accounting and audit stakeholders, and mentors team members.
