Provides financial, administrative, and operational support across municipal infrastructure divisions. Responsibilities include revenue forecasting, cost and variance analysis, fee evaluation, permitting system oversight, cash receipt management, reconciliations, utility billing analysis, capital project financial tracking, grant support, reporting, audits, and process improvement. The role collaborates with Finance and department leaders to improve resource management, compliance, billing procedures, and long-term financial planning.

Youth participants complete project-based work in City of Somerville departments and community partner organizations while attending biweekly job-readiness and professional development workshops. The program runs January 25 through May 28, 2027, with schedules varying by placement and a maximum of eight hours per week.

Manages the evaluation, implementation, integration, testing, maintenance, and improvement of the City’s HRIS. Administers system access, database integrity, upgrades, reporting, security, and vendor issue resolution. Develops training materials, conducts employee training, supports users, and recommends system enhancements. Partners with HR and City staff on requirements, customizations, user acceptance testing, compliance, and technology best practices.
