Applied data scientist responsible for solving data-quality and machine-learning problems, evaluating model performance in production, detecting drift, building ground truth, and prototyping data products. The role uses classification, entity resolution, anomaly detection, embeddings, semantic search, feature engineering, statistical analysis, dashboards, and large-scale production data. The scientist works independently within product or data teams and partners with engineers, analysts, product managers, and subject-matter experts.

Oversee Candid’s accounting operations, financial reporting, revenue recognition, grant and contract accounting, treasury, audits, compliance, and internal controls. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare financial statements, improve accounting workflows using automation and AI, and provide financial analysis for strategic planning. Manage and mentor a six-person accounting team while ensuring compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
