Lead hands-on embedded firmware development, architecture, debugging, integration, and production support. Develop RTOS-based firmware, drivers, and communication stacks; integrate software with custom hardware, sensors, and control systems; troubleshoot board-level issues using bench tools; lead technical reviews and roadmap planning; mentor engineers; improve development processes; and communicate technical risks and solutions to engineering and customer stakeholders.

Design and develop innovative mechanical products from concept through production, including prototypes, proof-of-concept models, precision electromechanical systems, and production-ready designs. Collaborate with electrical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers; conduct engineering analyses; create technical documentation; apply DFM, DFA, cost, and reliability principles; support proposals and customer engagements; and ensure quality-system compliance.

Evaluates emerging technologies and engineering opportunities, supports technical proposals and funding responses, develops technical content and visual materials, and advances continuous improvement initiatives. The role also supports invention disclosures, prior-art research, patent documentation, and collaboration with technology, manufacturing, supply chain, and research partners. It requires strong communication, organization, cross-functional collaboration, and familiarity with federal R&D programs, quality systems, robotics, IoT, AR/VR, and AI.
