Leads the health insurance underwriting function and a 60-person team, overseeing risk assessment, pricing models, underwriting guidelines, audits, regulatory compliance, and complex medical applications for individual and group plans. Partners with actuarial, finance, sales, legal, brokers, and executive stakeholders to optimize risk selection, pricing, customer support, and growth. Requires extensive health insurance underwriting leadership, healthcare expertise, analytical proficiency, and a bachelor's degree.

Serves as the COO’s strategic partner and trusted proxy, driving enterprise priorities, cross-functional initiatives, governance forums, executive communications, and Board committee materials. Leads planning, consensus building, special projects, and collaboration with senior leaders, vendors, and external stakeholders. The role combines strategic counsel, hands-on execution, team leadership, and operational coordination to advance healthcare strategy, consumer experience, and organizational effectiveness.

Provides healthcare analytics supporting quality, affordability, access, and consumer experience initiatives. Maps clinical journeys, analyzes quality variation, mines complex datasets, develops dashboards, tests hypotheses, and delivers strategic recommendations. Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to define business questions, analytical requirements, and reporting specifications, with a focus on Commercial health plan quality and Medicare Star ratings improvement.
