Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve moderately complex Michigan auto liability and auto physical damage claims. Responsibilities include analyzing coverage, liability, damages, policy limits, state laws, subrogation opportunities, and repair estimates; communicating with insureds and claimants; approving payments; documenting claim files; managing repair shops and rentals; and referring claims when appropriate. The role requires strong negotiation, analytical, communication, organization, and decision-making skills, with occasional travel for inspections, meetings, or collaborative activities.

Evaluates and manages intermediate to complex Michigan PIP claims, including coverage analysis, investigations, medical documentation review, claim valuation, payments, negotiations, subrogation, attorney involvement, and MCCA claims. Maintains accurate claim records, ensures regulatory compliance, collaborates with insureds and providers, and refers cases to specialized departments. The role requires knowledge of Michigan no-fault laws, claims regulations, medical terminology, and effective decision-making and communication skills.

Manage the annual corporate and operational audit plan, including risk assessments, control testing, audit execution, workpaper review, findings, recommendations, and management presentations. Supervise and develop professional auditors, coordinate with external auditors, oversee special projects, monitor regulatory and control effectiveness, manage budgets and timelines, and improve internal audit methodologies across a multi-state organization.
