Supports pre-sales opportunities by translating customer requirements into technical solutions, leading demos and technical evaluations, designing permission schemas and proofs of concept, troubleshooting demonstrations, and collaborating with account executives, product, and engineering teams. The role requires backend programming, database, cloud, Kubernetes, API integration, and architecture expertise, plus strong customer communication. Travel is typically 3 to 4 days per month for customer visits and team offsites.

Develop and operate SpiceDB and AuthZed’s open-source authorization ecosystem. Design, implement, test, deploy, and optimize distributed systems involving databases, cloud infrastructure, query planning, scalability, reliability, and performance. Participate in production operations and on-call rotations, troubleshoot complex issues, collaborate with users and contributors, mentor engineers, and contribute to technical documentation and industry discussions.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure, ensure system reliability, automate processes, and collaborate with engineering teams.
