Design, build, and maintain scalable software systems using Python and Rust. Architect backend services, APIs, distributed components, data models, and cloud-connected applications. Lead technical design discussions, mentor engineers, improve testing and observability, and optimize system performance. Collaborate with hardware engineers, scientists, and business stakeholders to develop solutions for renewable energy, biotechnology, and medical technology applications.

The Edge Compute Architect for Optical Systems will define and evaluate digital architectures for near-sensor computing, develop optical sensor systems, and lead prototyping efforts, requiring advanced expertise in signal and image processing.

Builds production-grade software for strategic customers, including data pipelines, API integrations, and MLOps/AI workflows. Embeds on-site with clients to understand technical problems, design architectures, deploy and debug solutions, and rapidly iterate toward measurable outcomes. The role also develops reusable company-owned assets and collaborates with cross-functional AI, software, and edge technology teams. Travel is required, with preferred experience in Edge AI, LLMs, agentic systems, signal processing, or forward-deployed engineering.
