Own Airbnb’s Workday integration architecture, technical strategy, and production reliability across global HR, payroll, benefits, and employee systems. Build complex Workday integrations, payroll interfaces, Extend applications, and AI-enabled MCP tooling. Establish security, observability, governance, deployment, and compliance standards while managing release cycles and technical debt. Serve as the technical authority, mentor engineers, lead architectural decisions, and partner with HR, security, privacy, finance, enterprise architecture, and vendors.

Build and operate Airbnb’s large-scale NewSQL storage platform on stateful Kubernetes. Responsibilities include database kernel performance, storage and query internals, replication, CDC, failover, migration tooling, observability, permissions, and service discovery. Engineers investigate production incidents, improve reliability and latency, contribute to open-source database systems, and collaborate across storage, SRE, ORM, and interface teams.

Leads complex, cross-functional payments technology programs from scope through delivery. Manages technical dependencies, design reviews, staffing, risks, schedules, stakeholder communications, and performance indicators. Drives process improvements and organization-wide technical initiatives while partnering with engineering, infrastructure, product, compliance, and payments teams to scale reliable global payment systems.
