Lead annual and mid-year compensation cycles, manage project planning and communications, conduct market and workforce analyses, support incentive compensation programs, maintain job architecture in Workday, and advise stakeholders on compensation structures and programs. The role partners closely with People, Technology, Business, and Compensation teams while developing data-driven recommendations and maintaining competitive rewards frameworks.

Lead global security investigations and incident response, serving as incident commander for major events and guiding containment, remediation, recovery, and postmortems. Remain hands-on while mentoring six engineers, leading cross-functional initiatives, establishing engineering standards, and overseeing monitoring, alerting, on-call operations, and system availability.

Lead and coordinate co-marketing campaigns with merchant partners across onsite, offsite, affiliate, and emerging channels. Manage partner relationships, campaign execution, performance optimization, budgets, compliance, RFPs, and cross-functional coordination. Responsibilities include developing fault-injection and experimentation systems, implementing isolation and rollback safeguards, improving observability and auditability, driving reliability initiatives, and partnering across engineering, infrastructure, product, and security teams. The manager mentors engineers, establishes resilience practices, and enables organization-wide adoption of proactive system validation.

Partner with product and engineering teams to embed security throughout the product lifecycle. Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, source-code security analysis, vulnerability identification, and secure test development. Advise on authentication, compliance, and business security requirements; automate security processes; identify emerging vulnerabilities; and coordinate cross-team projects through completion.

Leads cross-functional operations enablement programs that improve scalable, compliant servicing. Owns roadmaps, operational readiness, change management, stakeholder governance, risk resolution, knowledge management, training strategy, process optimization, and performance measurement. Partners with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, and vendors to translate strategic and regulatory requirements into effective workflows, resources, and customer and agent experiences.

Build and maintain customer identity and access management services supporting registration, login, authorization, MFA, step-up authentication, and account lifecycle flows. Develop backend APIs in Python or Kotlin, integrate identity platforms such as Okta, Auth0, and ForgeRock, write tests, participate in code reviews, debug production services, improve reliability, and collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams.

Lead frontend technical strategy for Affirm’s checkout decision orchestration systems. Design and architect scalable web applications, guide major technical initiatives, improve reliability and operational processes, establish engineering quality standards, collaborate with product, design, and analytics, and mentor engineers. The role focuses on building fast, clear, and reliable checkout experiences using modern declarative UI frameworks.

Build and operate Affirm’s AI platform, including LLM and MCP gateways, agent runtimes, evaluation services, and governance controls. Design highly available backend systems, manage identity, quotas, routing, caching, reliability, observability, and security for AI workloads. Own projects from design through launch and on-call, establish engineering standards, collaborate across teams, mentor engineers, and help scale AI systems into production.

Own the operational health of strategic merchant integrations through monitoring, troubleshooting, SLA delivery, technical investigations, and root-cause analysis. Design custom integration solutions, lead technical initiatives, support launches and product adoption, influence roadmaps, create operational playbooks, and mentor TAMs. The role progresses toward end-to-end ownership of a strategic account portfolio while partnering with Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, and support teams.

Supports merchant partners throughout Affirm solution implementations, troubleshooting ecommerce and order-management integrations, documenting technical processes, improving operational workflows, and coordinating with Engineering, Product, and Merchant Operations. The role provides implementation guidance, resolves technical issues, gathers client feedback, and manages multiple cross-functional assignments while serving as a primary partner support contact.

Lead Affirm’s zero-to-one product initiatives in partnership with the CEO and executive team. Own product vision, strategy, roadmap, discovery, prototyping, experimentation, launch, and iteration for new products and platforms. Analyze customer behavior, define success metrics, write product content, and coordinate engineering, design, data, risk, operations, revenue, legal, and compliance teams. This hands-on role has no direct people-management responsibilities and requires strong judgment in ambiguous environments.

Counsel II will negotiate and execute diverse vendor agreements, including technology, cloud, SaaS, marketing technology, data platform, contractor, lease, and payment processing contracts. The role partners with Procurement, Finance, Engineering, Product, Information Security, Privacy, and other teams; develops legal playbooks, templates, and training; improves contracting processes; manages high deal volume; and provides practical guidance on privacy, data protection, and commercial legal matters.
