Provides legal counsel on U.S. federal and state healthcare policy initiatives supporting product access. Advises Government Affairs and business clients on laws and regulations, including the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care Act, 340B, FDA regulations, and OIG guidance. Coordinates cross-functional legal strategies, manages outside counsel, oversees projects, and supports policy engagement and external messaging.

Provides legal counsel to AbbVie operations and onsite specialty pharmacy teams. Advises on pharmacy regulatory compliance, controlled substances, DEA and state Board of Pharmacy requirements, licensure, permits, audits, commercial contracts, policies, procedures, training, and operational risk. Collaborates cross-functionally to translate complex legal and regulatory issues into practical business guidance.

Develop and implement patent strategies for pharmaceutical products and candidates. Advise R&D and business teams on intellectual property matters, draft and prosecute worldwide patent applications, manage outside counsel, handle post-grant proceedings, conduct prior art and third-party patent analyses, and support business development due diligence.
