Workhuman, a Boston-based provider of employee recognition solutions, announced a significant growth milestone. The company, which helps organizations improve engagement and build high-performing workplace cultures, now serves 8 million users across more than 180 countries.

Through Workhuman’s platform, employees redeem recognition for rewards, and Workhuman’s AI-enabled platform gathers data from those redemptions, providing HR teams with a comprehensive view of an employee’s performance and impact. These insights then allow organizations to reinforce behaviors that drive business growth.

With users sending messages of appreciation through its platform every two seconds, Workhuman has delivered over 100 million moments of recognition to date. Its customers have recorded positive impacts such as reduced employee turnover and improved new hire retention and overall performance.

“Our goal has always been to make work more human, and it’s inspiring to see that mission reach more than 8 million people,” Eric Mosley, WorkHuman’s CEO, said in a statement. “This milestone reflects both the power of recognition to strengthen culture and our evolution to become not only a recognition platform, but an AI-driven recognition solution that helps leaders make smarter people decisions and build stronger cultures where everyone can thrive.”
