WHOOP, a Boston-based company offering wearable devices focused on health and wellbeing, announced plans to significantly expand its team. The company expects to create more than 600 roles across software, research and design, hardware, product and marketing as it builds out its global workforce.

The new roles will be opened throughout 2026, spanning positions in technical, scientific, creative and commercial functions. WHOOP is deepening its investments in hardware innovation, research, product development and the growth of its global brand, so while most of the roles will be based at its Boston headquarters, WHOOP will also bring on talent across North America, Europe, the Gulf Cooperation Council and Asia.

“Right now, companies are debating whether to hire more people or just invest in AI,” Will Ahmed, WHOOP’s founder and CEO, said in a statement. “We are doing both. We are doubling down on exceptional talent and doubling down on world-class AI tools because the combination is what wins. Health monitoring is becoming one of the most important platforms in the world, and WHOOP intends to own the category.”
