The talk will cover how forward-thinking organizations use data science to better process and interpret vast data stores both on-premise and in the cloud to identify threats and intrusions to their local networks and beyond. There will be speakers from Rapid7, Booz Allen Hamilton’s Strategic Innovation Group and Yaxa.
Open Source and Mobile, Edge and IoT, June 26 at 6 p.m.
The Open Source Entrepreneur Network is hosting a meetup that will cover Open Source product development in the context of mobile, edge computing and IoT. They will talk about how to deal with patents and compliance, as well as take a sober look at the state of security in this space and how to manage risk. Finally, they’ll touch on engineering principles in the cloud native space that allow startups to benefit from upstream innovation while still delivering product reliably.
Annual Snowflake Cloud Analytics Event, June 27 at 1:30 p.m.
Big Data Boston is hosting its annual Cloud Analytics event in Downtown Boston, in which some of the brightest minds in data and analytics will get together to talk about the struggles surrounding expanding data volumes. People are struggling to load their data, integrate it, analyze it and use it, but Snowflake thinks it can help.
Summer of Sourcing Soiree, June 28 at 6 p.m.
Lever is hosting a summer soiree in which Boston’s talent and recruiting community and mix and mingle. Panelists from Red Pill Talent, Infor and Turbonomic will talk about creative candidate sourcing strategies.
AI for Software Engineers, June 30 at 10 a.m.
New England Software Engineers is hosting a free training day for the Boston software engineering community to develop skills in using and applying machine learning often called the next platform. In addition to providing hands-on learning, the goal of the event is to bring the community together to stimulate more community engagement in the area of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
