NuvemRx, a pharmacy solutions provider, has acquired par8o, a health technology company focused on 340B referral capture, from R1 RCM. The move is aimed at strengthening NuvemRx’s ability to help covered entities capture specialty referrals and increase prescription-related savings.

Following the acquisition, NuvemRx will support more than 800 covered entities across the United States, enabling them to better manage and optimize their end-to-end pharmacy care delivery models, according to the news release.

“Referral leakage and fragmented specialty care often prevent safety-net organizations from capturing the full value of the 340B program. By bringing par8o’s referral technology, enhanced with AI-powered decision support, into our suite of services, we can automate up to 85 percent of the referral and eligibility process,” Scott Seidelmann, CEO of NuvemRx, said in a statement.

Seidelmann also noted that this automation helps reduce administrative burden for providers while improving access to coordinated, quality care for patients.
