Boston-based acute care provider instED has named Don Stiffler as its next chief executive officer, effective Jan. 1, as the company looks to accelerate growth and expand its acute care services delivered directly to patients in their homes.

According to a news release on Monday, Stiffler brings more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience to the role. Most recently, he served as chief growth and transformation officer at Commonwealth Care Alliance, where he oversaw strategy, product development, provider and network relations, clinical innovation and market expansion.
