Rapid7 to relocate near TD Garden
Boston-based cybersecurity company Rapid7 announced last week that it will be moving its Boston headquarters from the Financial District to The Hub on Causeway, a swanky, mixed-use development near TD Garden. The company will consolidate its 100 Summer Street headquarters and its 1 Main St. office based in Cambridge to the new 147,000-square-foot headquarters. Locus Robotics raises $25M in funding
Warehouse robotics are all the rage, and no one knows this better than Locus Robotics, which secured a $25M Series B round this week, led by Scale Venture Partners. The provider of autonomous, mobile robots used in e-commerce fulfillment warehouses said the financing will go toward investments in product development and go-to-market activities as well as an expansion into international markets. Assemble Systems raises $12M Series A round
Assemble Systems, a company that provides a SaaS platform for the construction industry, announced a $12M Series A round of financing led by the Autodesk Forge Fund with participation from existing investors Satterfield Vintage Investments and Assemble Investments. Umajin raises $5M in funding to expand sales and marketing team
Umajin, a Woburn-based company that provides a platform for collaboration and cross-platform publishing of applications, announced it has raised $5.5 million from private investors and is actively expanding its go-to-market capabilities last week. The company said it will use the new funding to build channel partners and hire sales and marketing staff for Umajin’s new Boston office. Salsify makes 4 key executive hires
Salsify, a Boston-based company that helps brands deliver compelling cross-platform shopping experiences, announced four key executive hires who will join the company in the latter half of 2017. Mary Jefts, the new CFO, joins Salsify with over 20 years of experience as a finance and operating executive in both public and private technology companies. Malcolm Faulds, the new VP of marketing, comes to Salsify with more than 20 years of marketing experience, most recently as SVP of marketing at Drizly. Steve McKenzie will be brought on as VP of sales coming from InsightSquared, and finally, Doug Bleszinski will be the new VP of sales for global accounts.
