TraceLink raises $93M to track drugs

TraceLink, a tech company that tracks pharmaceuticals from ingredient to patient, just raised a whopping $93 million Series D round led by Georgian Partners. The North Reading-based company said it would use the investment to fuel the total digitization of the global pharma supply chain and expand its fast-growing track-and-trace network, which helps connect the pharmaceutical supply chain and eliminate counterfeit prescription drugs from the global marketplace. What’s 95,400 square feet and has a glass-enclosed lobby? Why, General Electric’s swanky new offices, of course! The global tech company recently offered a rare glimpse into its new complex, which will include a sixth floor roof deck, a bistro and a pedestrian bridge to the Boston Globe. Talla hires tech veteran Paula Long as SVP of engineering

Talla, which offers sales, support and success teams an AI-powered knowledge base, announced that it has hired Paula Long as its new senior vice president of engineering. Previously, Long was CEO of DataGravity, a software company focused on providing IT and data management services that was acquired by HyTrust last year. [Boston Business Journal]

CircleCI to open Boston office

CircleCI, a San Francisco-based company that arms software teams with the tools they need to build, test and deploy across numerous platforms, announced that it is opening a Boston location this week. The new offices, located in North Boston by TD Garden, is the company’s second U.S. location and was opened to accommodate CircleCI's growing East Coast customer base.
