Matillion is a powerhouse in the data integration space. At just 10 years old it has grown to a $1.5 billion valuation, representing not just the company’s capacity for rapid and scaled growth, but that of the market that it serves. Think about all of the information that flows through large companies. When that data is stored in numerous places across multiple clouds and servers and services, structuring and transforming it into usable information requires assistance.

Matillion has answered this call to action through a democratized, low-code ETL (extract, transform and load) platform that helps organizations own their data alignment and usage, freeing up their data scientists for more challenging business problems. Its framework does the grunt work of identifying and organizing data sources, improving procedural efficiency and allowing less technical users to analyze disparate data.

Data integration is continually evolving, and that inclination toward growth is present throughout Matillion’s company culture. As Director of Commercial Sales Joe Yesunas recently shared with Built In, “we strongly believe no person, process or product is ever finished.”

The fast-paced startup culture gives Matillion’s team the opportunity and flexibility to impact the company’s vision and strategy. And in Yesunas’ experience, the people make it that much more fun.

Matillion has close to 431 employees in locations across the globe, with 149 based in the U.S., and is on the search for 24 talented candidates to join its growing team. If you’re looking for a new role and a fresh start to 2022, Matillion might be the place for you.

What they do: Founded in 2011, Matillion provides a complete data integration and transformation solution that is purpose-built for the cloud and cloud data warehouses. Their products enable businesses like Western Union, Sony, Slack and Cisco to migrate and transform data into actionable insights, and solve business challenges with accuracy and efficiency.

Where they do it: Matillion’s team is global, with dual headquarters in Denver and Manchester, UK, as well as offices in New York and Seattle. They don’t let distance keep them apart; once a year, the entire team gathers at the Manchester headquarters to bond over strategy meetings, darts, and British weather.

Leveling up: In September of this year, Matillion announced a new round of investment — $150 million — at a $1.5 billion valuation. That growth is keeping Matillion’s team busy, and opportunities to shape the company are supported by core values like action, confidence, integrity and quality. “The fast-paced nature of an organization at this stage means every team member can make an impact in achieving our collective vision,” Joe Yesunas, director of commercial sales, previously told Built In. “We continue to lead with our culture and values at the forefront as we constantly evolve and make improvements across all key areas of the business.”

Broad benefits: Matillion considers its team to be its most important asset, and it shows. The company invests in employees through perks like adoption assistance, restricted work hours, unconscious bias training and full vision and dental benefits to name just a few.
