Sequoia Captial led the latest round of funding for Blues, a Boston-based company developing IoT connectivity solutions. Its $25 million raise is expected to fuel growth and product innovation as Blues works to help businesses connect any physical product to the cloud.

Blues aims to serve the companies behind physical products, helping them incorporate data-driven intelligence into their offerings. The company counts transportation, healthcare, energy and logistics solutions manufacturers among its customers.

“We’re in an age of intelligent machines. The opportunity to reimagine every physical product around the data they produce, and to improve life and the environment, is staggering,” Ray Ozzie, Blues’ founder, said in a statement. “For years we've been working with visionary enterprises looking to transform their businesses toward service delivery. This funding will help us to accelerate our growth so we may address the breadth of this opportunity.”
