5 tech events you don’t want to miss in Boston this week

Boston Startup Job Fair, October 17 at 12 p.m.

The Boston Startup Job Fair is a must for job seekers looking to connect with Massachusetts-area startups. The event is open to startups of all growth stages and job seekers of varying experience levels. Held in the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge, this event will feature startups like BookBub, Ve Interactive, Luminoso Technologies and many, many more. Dust off your resume and get out there.

 

Boston TechBreakfast, October 18 at 8 a.m.

This free event brings together techies, developers, designers and entrepreneurs looking to show one another what they’re working on.

 

How to Find, Select, and Build Your Co-Founding Team, October 18 at 6 p.m.

The Boston Entrepreneurs’ Network (ENET) is hosting an event designed to help entrepreneurs find and build their co-founding team. Panelists for the meeting will include successful founders and early stage company investors like Kent Plunkett, the CEO and founder of Salary.com; Gerry Wilson, the CEO and Founder of Yoonew; and Steve Hubermas, Founder and CEO of VeriLync Capital Solutions.. 

 

IoT Demos and Drinks, October 19 at 6 p.m.

Sponsored by Ingenu and Tech in Motion, this event will explore the IoT (Internet of Things) tech space in Boston. The evening will feature some of the latest devices and gadgets that fall under the IoT category, and will include companies like Freight Farms, iRobot, Jibo and Soofa.

 

 

WITI Boston: Fight "Impostor Syndrome,” October 20 at 5:30 p.m.

Certified career coach Kim Meninger (above) will be giving attendees advice on how to fight “Imposter Syndrome,” a term for the feelings of self-doubt and inadequacy many professionals face as they reach higher levels of success. Meninger will help you understand Impostor Syndrome, identify common triggers and recognize the roots of your feelings. Meninger will also introduce strategies for overcoming feelings of self-doubt and ways to increase your confidence.
