Andrea Kowalski is the new chief product officer of 1upHealth, a healthtech platform enabled with fast healthcare interoperability resources. More than 80 health systems depend on 1upHealth to optimize their claims and clinical data-driven initiatives while also meeting regulatory requirements. Kowalski brings over 15 years of experience in healthcare technology to the company.
Kowalski previously served as the SVP of products for Tebra, a platform for electronic health records, billing and practice management. She also served as the director of product for athenahealth, an electronic health record provider. In her new role as CPO, Kowalski will be responsible for driving 1upHealth’s product strategy and enhancing its products to further its position in the interoperability market.
The appointment builds on significant momentum for 1upHealth as it works to demonstrate its commitment to gender inclusivity. To date, 46 percent of the company’s managers are women, 40 percent of promotions went to women employees in 2023 and 54 percent of leadership positions were filled by women in the same year.
