What Akeneo does: Companies use Akeneo’s product experience management solutions to manage product information and publish it on their own sites, third-party marketplaces, social media and more. More than 500 companies use its technology, including Forever 21.

  • Sixteen weeks of maternity leave and 30 days of leave for the second parent
  • A $600 home office equipment stipend
  • Five weeks of paid-time off and two volunteer days per year

New C-suite arrival: Akeneo recently announced Sabrina Jaksa as its new chief people officer. Jaksa has extensive experience in the tech industry from her time at social media management platform Hootsuite, where she was head of human resources, and hiring software company Greenhouse where she consulted on culture, values, recruitment and more. Jaksa shared her priorities as Akeneo’s new CPO in a press release.

“I am beyond thrilled to join the Akeneo team to lead and build people strategies that retain employees and create a healthy company culture,” said Jaksa.

More than a job: Bryan Glick has been with OneView for more than five years, and a large part of the reason why is because of the culture. Glick, a strategic account manager, described the company’s welcoming culture in a September interview with Built In Boston.

“It has always felt more like a second family than just some job to clock in and out at,” said Glick. “One of the core identities that OneView has embodied is that sense of value for each and every member of our team. Regardless of your position or tenure, you are important here, and people let you know it.”

A seat for Microsoft: In October, Formlabs announced that Microsoft executive vice president and CMO Chris Capossela had joined its board of directors. Capossela is a Boston native who has spent more than 30 years at the tech giant. In a press release, Formlabs CEO and co-founder Max Lobovsky spoke about the specific experience they hope to tap from the company’s new board member.

“Microsoft is one of the best and largest B2B technology companies in the world,” said Lobovsky. “We have so much to learn from Chris about how to bring technology solutions to a huge range of customers.”
