BizAnalytica, a Boston-based provider of data transformation tools, was recently acquired by Mastek, a global digital engineering and cloud transformation company. The deal enables Mastek to strengthen its data cloud and generative AI capabilities. It also expands Mastek’s footprint in the Eastern U.S.
BizAnalytica’s solutions help companies along their data transformation journeys, such as incorporating data automation, analytics and AI into their operations. By combining its resources with Mastek, the acquisition will allow Mastek to better serve its customers working to build a strong data foundation. This is an increasingly critical area for companies looking to digitize their operations, Hiral Chandrana, CEO of Mastek, told Built In.
While the acquisition closed in early August, the combined company is actively working to expand its local team. Currently, Mastek employs around 50 to 60 people in Boston with plans to double its headcount over the next year in the city, according to Chandrana.
The company aims to increase its customer base and improve its customer relationships. To help facilitate this goal, the combined company plans to hire talent including software architects, business analysts, technical data experts and Salesforce experts, Chandrana said. It’s also growing its sales team and customer account teams.
