As always, biotech is booming here in Boston, as several companies in the space announced growth moves last week. With fresh venture funding, an acquisition and a new partnership, find out what these local innovators have in the works. This is the Built In Boston Weekly Refresh.

Beacon Biosignals acquired Dreem. Beacon developed a machine learning-powered analytics platform that works to help accelerate new treatments for neurological, psychiatric and sleep disorders. The company acquired France-based Dreem, a company specializing in at-home sleep monitoring. By incorporating Dreem’s hardware, Beacon will be able to enhance its capabilities in data acquisition and clinical trial operations. [PR Newswire]

Allonnia raised $30M. The biotech company engineers solutions geared toward solving environmental problems caused by waste in contaminants like metals and plastics. Bison Ventures led Allonnia’s Series A extension round, which it plans to put toward furthering its products. The capital rounds out the company’s total funding at $90 million. [BusinessWire]

Metalenz partnered with Dilusense. Semiconductor company Metalenz announced a new partnership with Dilusense, a 3D sensing system developer based in China. Metalenz will apply its metasurface optics tech to Smartlocks and payment kiosks as part of the new partnership. The companies’ facial authentication solutions aim to make accessing residential and commercial properties more secure. The payment solutions will be supplied to retailers across China.
