Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?

What excites me most is the opportunity to champion creating more human workplaces regardless of where you work or who you work with. Whether remote or in-person, Workhuman wants to ensure that employees are seen and recognized for their efforts, while also celebrating non-professional facets of their lives. It’s truly amazing that a company values people’s whole selves, and it’s a privilege to be a part of that mission.

Leo Lin
Principal Software Engineer • ChaosSearch

ChaosSearch delivers insights at scale. The company’s data platform connects to and indexes data within a customer’s cloud storage environment, rendering it fully searchable and available for analysis with existing data tools.

What was the deciding factor for you when you accepted your job at ChaosSearch?

I was interested in both the people who work here and the technology. Having been a big data and infrastructure engineer, I have always wanted a tool like ChaosSearch. With the introduction of new storage technologies like S3, I found that storing data is easy, but extracting useful information and knowledge from it is hard. I think ChaosSearch will be revolutionary to how we think about knowledge and empower organizations to learn more and learn easily from their data. On the people end, one of my best friends from college also works at ChaosSearch. I’ve really enjoyed working with them in the past and wanted to work with them again. So far I’ve been really impressed by the experience and skillsets of the team we’ve assembled at ChaosSearch. There are a lot of folks for me to learn from.

Because we leverage a cloud deployment architecture, we can achieve tremendous scale with ease.”

Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?

I am really excited about how much ChaosSearch will fundamentally change how people view data analytics. We will be offering more features and more ways to help customers learn about their data in the coming quarters. Furthermore, because we leverage a cloud deployment architecture, we can achieve tremendous scale with ease. As a member of the ChaosSearch platform, I am excited about building an infrastructure for our product that can serve many more customers and make it more secure, reliable and scalable. At the core of all of these, I am the most excited about growth. That’s my favorite thing about startups: I get to write good software and see it grow and delight our customers.

Micha Hardie
Demand Generation Manager • Quickbase

Quickbase helps companies achieve operational agility. Its no-code platform enables organizations to improve operations through real-time insights and automation across complex processes and disparate systems.

What was the deciding factor for you when you accepted your job at Quickbase?

When I was on the hunt for a full-time role, I was searching for a company where I would learn a lot, and have creative freedom and ample growth opportunities. And because I had previous experience with Quickbase  — I’d spent six months as a marketing co-op here — I knew it could provide me with all of that.

What really drew me in was that promotions are about ability, not necessarily tenure. As far as learning, since we are constantly experimenting and pushed to think big by marketing leadership, I knew that I would have plenty of opportunities to try new things, test and learn. And lastly, each employee is a subject-matter expert in their role, which is really empowering. We all own our projects, present them, evaluate their performance and decide where to go next.

We have such a strong, passionate community of customers who are evolving their organizations with our product.”

Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?

I’m excited most about the opportunity Quickbase has in the market and the growth track of the no-code/low-code industry. The need for faster innovation is here and our product directly solves that challenge. We have such a strong, passionate community of customers who are evolving their organizations with our product — enabling their teams to respond faster to changes and drastically increase efficiency. I’m very excited to see our user base grow, but more so to see our customers innovate and solve real world problems like vaccine distribution or semiconductor sourcing with the Quickbase platform.

As we’ve experimented with new offerings, structures and ways of managing teams, it’s kept me engaged in my role every single day.

Looking to the future, what excites you most about where your company is headed?
