Folx Health raised $25MThe company is looking to expand the reach of its digital health platform that serves members of the LGBTQ+ community. Having secured Series A funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners, Folx plans to expand its services across all 50 states. It also anticipates hiring new team members, aiming to triple its headcount with openings in clinical and tech positions. [Built In Boston]

Rapid7 acquired AlcideThe security operations company purchased cybersecurity platform Alcide for $50 million. The company is working to ensure cloud-native automated containerized workloads are kept safe. Rapid7 is planning to help enterprises stay secure as they obtain comprehensive visibility across their cloud infrastructures and cloud-native apps. [TechCrunch]

Drizly is being acquired by UberIn joining with the ride-hailing company, Drizly hopes to eventually expand the global footprint of its alcohol delivery platform. With its e-commerce marketplace, Drizly’s services reach 1,400 cities across the majority of the U.S. Uber is buying the company for $1.1 billion, a deal that is projected to close within the first half of 2021. Gingko Bioworks brings COVID testing to schoolsIn collaboration with the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Gingko is planning to provide SARS-CoV-2 pooled testing services to approved public K-12 schools and special education schools in Massachusetts. Metalenz got $10MThe funding from its Series A round from investors including 3M Ventures will enable the company that specializes in creating optical metasurfaces to commercialize its product.
