Chewy, an online pet supplies retailer, plans to hire as many as 100 people in Boston this year.
The company raised more than $1 billion on the public market last June. In addition to providing popular food and toy brands on their site, Chewy has a monthly food and toy subscription service known as Autoship, which accounted for more than 70 percent of net sales last quarter.
Chewy is headquartered in Boston and Dania Beach, Fla. The Boston office, located in Fort Point, was named one of Built In Boston's best places to work in 2019 and currently more than 300 employees are based there.

That number is expected to grow. Chewy’s CEO Sumit Singh told the Boston Business Journal that the company will hire another 75 to 100 people in the next 12 months, focusing mainly on product, technology and analytics.
