Form Energy raised $40 million to store renewable power. Storage is one of the biggest challenges facing the renewable energy industry, since many renewable energy sources — like solar and wind power — are only available at certain times. Jobcase announced a new general counsel as they continue to grow. Jobcase, a social platform that aims to empower workers, appointed Ben Berman, who was previously general counsel at KAYAK. “Ben’s deep experience leading companies through the private-to-public journey, strategic acquisitions, and international expansion make him an invaluable addition to the executive team,” said Jobcase founder and CEO Fred Goff, in a statement [Press Release]

JRNI raised $6 million for its booking and customer engagement platform. Along with the funding news, JRNI announced Simon Copsey as its new CTO. Based in London, the company has a U.S. HQ in Boston with around 30 employees, and an additional U.S. development office in Manchester, New Hampshire. The company is hiring for engineering, customer success and HR talent in the Boston area.
