VP, Creative Director
DraftKings is a leading sports entertainment brand that creates the most exciting digital sports competitions and experiences on the planet. Our goal is to transform the way fans experience sports. We are looking for a seasoned creative leader who can elevate our internal creative group and help establish DraftKings as one of the most creative, innovative and meaningful brands in sports.
The VP, Creative Director will be a senior member of the Brand Marketing & Creative team. The successful candidate will expand DraftKings’ internal creative team so we can centralize all consumer communications and establish a unified design and voice for the brand. Specific areas of focus:
- Build, lead and actively supervise a team of copywriters, art directors and designers
- Contribute to the development of DraftKings’ brand positioning and marketing strategy
- Deliver on DraftKings’ business objectives by:
- Partnering with the VP, Brand & Sports Marketing to develop creative ideas that work across channels, including acquisition, retention/reactivation and social
- Partnering with the Product team to ensure the DraftKings brand’s look/feel/voice carries through the entire fan experience (site, mobile)
- Partnering with the Director, Creative Operations to establish an efficient, proactive and flexible process that improves creative delivery, quality and consistency
- Leverage the Agency’s creative vision and carry it through all channels
- Influence the New Media team’s creation of daily content
- Proactively develop creative ideas that establish DraftKings as an innovative early-adopter of technologies that bring Sports Fans closer to the games they love
The ideal candidate has the following key attributes: creativity, collaborative spirit, results orientation, organization, confidence, initiative and enthusiasm. Specifically,
- 12+ years experience
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Proven success developing award-winning creative ideas for major B-to-C brands
- LOVES marketing and driven by creative ideas that deliver results
- Demonstrated understanding of modern marketing (digital, experiential, social, CRM)
- Experience managing internal team
- Ability to work well under pressure and achieve results in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to roll-up sleeves and get the work -- big and small – done
- Team player, motivated to build internal confidence and alignment
- Avid sports fan and fantasy sports enthusiast
- Agency experience a plus
