Sr. Director of Growth Marketing

Introduction

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Growth Marketing, you will take on a vital position responsible for overseeing a comprehensive and award-winning demand generation practice across all SmartBear products and solution Hubs. You will lead a team of marketing program managers responsible for lead generation, engagement and nurture, scoring qualification criteria, and support of product-led-growth (PLG) as well as sales-led conversion to pipeline.

The Senior Director of growth marketing will oversee the creation, execution, and tracking of integrated marketing campaigns and drive demand for SmartBear’s broader integrated solutions. You will work closely with sales to share targets, and all functions within marketing, as well as product management and senior company leadership to deliver the marketing inputs that drive aggressive revenue growth.

About the role

As a Sr Director of Growth Marketing, you will: 

  • Oversee the creation of marketing demand “funnels” that drive the annual revenue growth plan, including lead generation goals and forecasts
  • Manage the global demand generation team to support them as they are accountable for their product area, overseeing deliverables with on-time and high quality execution
  • Oversee budget and spend prioritization for the core growth marketing team in order to maximize results
  • Track, analyze, and report on marketing performance, and continually optimize in order to maximize results. This can include adjusting lead scoring, volumes, and all tactics that impact the outcomes
  • Drive a comprehensive portfolio of activities to bring in new leads, nurture and drive engagement via multiple means including in-product marketing, organize webinars and events, email, social media and more
  • Partner with the outbound / account-based marketing team to generate demand in target accounts
  • Optimize use of our marketing tech stack including Marketo, 6Sense, Salesforce, GenAI tooling, and more in order to drive greater sophistication of the SmartBear marketing engine

We are looking for you if you have:

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, with heavy focus in demand generation, digital marketing, and campaign management roles a must
  • Experience driving proven results in demand creation, lead nurturing and pipeline acceleration programs
  • Familiarity with product-led-growth, B2B eComm, predictive lead scoring, balancing self-service purchasing with direct sales qualification, and digital marketing where online marketing played a key role in new customer acquisition
  • Excellent communication skills and track record of aligning with sales leadership
  • A desire to learn, innovate and transform marketing practices and strategy
  • Management experience, including demonstrated strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think and execute both strategically and creatively
  • High attention to detail and focus on quality output necessary
  • BA/BS degree required
