Software Engineer - Class of 2017
Are you looking to have real impact? At Catalant you will be exposed to all parts of the company, where you will learn about not only about writing code, but also how it is hosted and the processes and tools we use to do zero-downtime deployments and machine management.
Catalant is a start-up that has built a marketplace that connects independent business experts with global enterprises to address their toughest challenges. The Catalant global network consists of more than 35,000 boutique firms, custom teams, and independent experts, as well as best-in-class software tools for engaging and managing this market. Based in Boston’s Seaport, Catalant serves thousands of enterprise clients, including GE, Pfizer and Staples, as well as countless others on a confidential basis.
Our investors include Highland Capital and Greylock partners, two of the top Venture Capital firms out there, as well as famed investor Mark Cuban (Yup, the one from Shark Tank!). We're on a mission to build the absolute best team on the east coast, and are looking for talented, scrappy, and fun folks to get on board.
All that sounds good, but what will I actually do day to day? We’re a python shop on a flask framework. We use bootstrap. We use docker. We do continuous integration and release. Our engineers work in scrum teams of 4-6, writing new features and customized business logic for our clients. We limit meetings, so you’re focused on the stuff that matters. If you get stuck on a problem you’re working on, your team is right there to help you out and get you moving again. Feel like you need a change of perspective, go sit in the cod pod, our home built triple-decker jungle gym for writing cod (read: code, just 25% more efficient).
