Job Description
BookBub is seeking a talented college student to help with social media marketing for our consumer blog. Candidates must be creative thinkers with an appetite for social media, a knack for writing, and equal parts love for Harry Potter, Jane Austen, and Agatha Christie. We’re looking for a part-time spring semester intern and a summer intern.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the management of BookBub’s 4 million social followers by sharing content appropriate for specific networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest
- Working alongside other marketers and freelancers to help produce and distribute content
- Tracking, analyzing, and optimizing the performance of content to help grow our member base
- Gaining a strong understanding of BookBub’s audience and translating that knowledge into new and creative content and social campaigns
Qualifications
Ideal candidates for this position will have:
- Experience using social networks for marketing purposes, such as content distribution or brand management
- Strong writing and editing skills, as well as an ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of BookBub’s brand
- An active and well-rounded social media presence
- An inquisitive, investigative nature about social media and content marketing
- The ability to multitask and work independently with little guidance
- Excitement for a fast-paced, rapidly changing startup environment
- A passion for reading and books
- Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
