The Social Media Coordinator is a key part of the foundation for all of our outgoing player-facing communications. They work directly with a seasoned Publishing team, including our Director of Communications, Content and Marketing teams, plus our Community Managers to deliver factual (and often creative) communications to our player-base via a variety of social media channels.

What You’ll Do:

 

  • The Social Media Coordinator works directly with the Director of Communications, the Community team, and our Content Marketing Manager to track what needs to be said to our players, when it is said and across what platforms regarding all of our game products.
  • The Social Media Coordinator works to organize our player communications efforts, but also to support the wider Publishing team to implement on these efforts. That being said, this person has an unmatched attention to detail, as they are the owner of our detailed Player Communication calendars across all game products.
  • The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with our Content Marketing Manager to fine-tune messaging and draft copy for all of our social media channels for a variety of campaigns.
  • Will work with our Senior Community Manager to implement social media best practices across our own channels, but also guidelines for social media usage among Disruptor Beam employees.
  • The Social Media Coordinator also works with the Creative Services team to request graphics and additional creative assets to help support all of our content pushes on social media.
  • With an eye towards measurement, the Social Media Coordinator will help analyze our existing social media efforts and help to adjust our strategy accordingly in future campaigns.
  • Acts as a public facing representative of DB and its games. Along with the community team, communicates on behalf of our games across social media.
  • In addition to our product-related social channels, the Social Media Coordinator works closely with the Director of Communications to manage Disruptor Beam’s corporate social media channels.
  • You will contribute to the planning of and attend company events, specifically where our players exist, and help to capture and communicate these goings-ons to our social media channels.

What We Seek:

 

  • Candidates are expected to possess a minimum of 2+ years experience in a similar role, either with a background in social media management in a professional capacity or PR.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with detailed knowledge and passion for a variety of social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, etc. - as well as a deep understanding of their potential for marketing usage.
  • You have an unmatched attention to detail and are a master of spreadsheets. You never miss a thing. You are highly organized and a meticulous planner.
  • You have an authentic passion for one or all of our properties, which will help you develop and communicate with our player-base both factually and creatively.
  • You know mobile games and feel comfortable writing about them, as well as communicating with our product teams to glean information about the next-best-thing to be released to players.
  • You work well under pressure with often changing deadlines and moving product release targets. You don’t fluster easily.
  • Experience with Sprout Social or other social media management and monitoring tools is a huge plus!
