Senior UX Researcher at Loom
Working at Atlassian
Atlassian acquired Loom to lead in remote first, asynchronous work. With Loom's async video expertise and Atlassian's team collaboration understanding, we aim to innovate and empower customers for richer collaboration. Join us on our mission to make the impossible possible.
Atlassians can choose where they work - whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
To help our teams work together effectively, this remote position requires you to be located in the US.
Your future team
Atlassian is searching for a Senior UX Researcher to join our growing team of research experts. Atlassian's mission is to unleash the potential of teams all over the world. You will define and conduct research that not only informs our ultimate mission, but feeds the design, strategy and development of our products and platforms. You will join a smart, passionate team who work together to improve our research craft and help Atlassian build better experiences for our customers.
What you'll do
- Report to a Research Manager and design and conduct generative and evaluative research to help improve our products and platforms.
- Work cross-functionally with product management, design, marketing, data science, and engineering.
- Prioritize research questions across projects to inform the most critical business needs.
- Communicate research insights in credible, creative ways to help teams understand the needs of our customers.
- Promote the research craft and develop our research practices across Atlassian.
Your background
- You will bring 5+ years hands-on experience designing and conducting user research. We would love to hear stories of how your research influenced product or platform roadmaps and informed design decisions.
- You will have experience with qualitative (and some quantitative) research methods, along with knowledge of when, why, and how to apply them. We value your ability to be creative when thinking about the research problem you're trying to solve.
- You will be proficient in generative and evaluative research methods, survey design, data management, data analysis, and insights generation. We will look for engaging techniques for sharing research recommendations and the ability to bring teams along on the research journey.
Compensation
At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $153,700 - $204,900
Zone B: $138,300 - $184,400
