You have a secret tattoo of Ira Glass and your lifelong dream is to read the credits on Radio Lab.

AMP is looking for an audience-obsessed Senior Strategic Planner to lead strategy for several key CPG and Fitness clients and act as a leader within the department and agency. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker possessing a clear understanding of how to unlock consumer insights and connect them with cultural and industry trends to develop inspiring strategies. Don’t actually have an Ira Glass tattoo? We guess that’s ok. But research skills, a passion for creative ideas, and a love for getting into the mind of the consumer are a must.

Core Responsibilities:

Audience Intelligence

  • Leads & facilitates primary and secondary research on customer behaviors, best practices, and market trends.
  • Leads opportunity assessment and “Discovery” plan design. Leads data analysis, interpreting results and synthesizing recommendations.

Creative Briefs

  • Develops briefs that inspire the agency to create big ideas rooted in strategy and insights

Brand and Product Strategy

  • Helps contribute to our client’s strategy by developing account plans, strategies, and roadmaps.

Channel Strategy

  • Understand traditional, emerging, and social media channels
  • Partner with Media, Creative and Technology colleagues to develop disruptive ideas at all points of customer contact.

Market Landscape

  • Maintains an acute knowledge of our client’s industry/category with an ability to react quickly to changing market conditions and implement strategically.



Relationships and Leadership

  • Build strong agency team relationships and client relationships
  • Mentor or manage associate planners
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
