Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior MS Dynamics NAV Developer to join our IT Team based in Boston, MA. The Senior Developer will design, develop, test and document the business solutions based on MS Dynamics NAV. The ideal candidate will have several years of development experience using MS Dynamics NAV and sound knowledge of business processes that include accounting, supply chain and merchandising.

What you'll do:

• Partner with business analyst to translate business requirements and specifications into technical solutions, propose, evaluate and recommend design options.
• Develop performing, scalable and secure software solutions that meet business requirements in an effective fashion.
• Multiple complex system integrations with MS Dynamics NAV.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Code review peer’s work to ensure development quality.
• Manage deadlines by balancing deliverables from multiple projects and production support.
• Upgrade and migration of the MS Dynamics NAV systems.
• Partner with BI team to support the implementation of ETL/Data Warehouse solutions.
• Lead/assist the testing and improvement of the solution performance, scalability and security.
• Document code customizations in compliance with established standards and practices.
• Provide training to the business users on as needed basis.
• Mentor junior NAV developers.
• Assist technical product manager in project planning and delivery.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent fields
• 5+ years of development experience with MS Dynamics NAV and MS SQL (Incl. SSIS and SSRS)
• 3+ years of .NET and various integration experience such as Web Services, Message Queueing
• At least 1 full Dynamics NAV implementation (either new or migration)
• Good communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment and deliver quality results on-time.

Bonus:

• Experience with other ERP software such as: MS Dynamics AX, SAP, Oracle etc.
• Experience with building retail solutions.
• Sound domain knowledge with one or more of the following processes: Accounting, Supply Chain and Merchandising.
• Exceptional customer service skills, follows up with clients and team members, and takes initiative to anticipate and solve problems.
• Team leadership and/or mentoring skills.
• Experience with complex system architect and design, ability to evaluate multiple design options and make trade-off decisions.
