Senior Financial Analyst (Global Sourcing)
Summary of Position
The position of Sr. Analyst, Global Sourcing within FP&A will be responsible for working with Finance leadership & cross-functional departments in the business to provide actionable analytics and reporting. The primary responsibilities will include supporting the Supply Chain function, working closely with global teams in the areas of strategic sourcing, cost optimization, product costing, and tooling. This position will act as a financial business partner, providing key forecast assumptions, scenario analyses, spend to budget reporting, & leading cost optimization efforts. Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, this position is part of a dynamic team that works in a fast-paced environment, where keen attention to detail and an ability to partner with the business is crucial to success.
Essential Functions
- Key member of a global Product & Sourcing FP&A team
- Key business partner to Global Supply Chain leadership
- Partner with Supply Chain teams and cross-functional colleagues to support both standard reporting and ongoing scenario analyses to enable informed decision-making while managing rapidly evolving landscape
- Create analysis and presentations that condense complex topics into actionable information that is communicated effectively to the business
- Lead standard weekly meetings across a variety of partner functions and levels of seniority
- Identify and drive opportunities for automation or process improvement
- Ad hoc analytics and other duties, including special projects, as assigned
Key Projects / Areas of Highlight
- Factory sourcing and supply chain business partner, leading cost optimization efforts around factory negotiations, sourcing, and supply chain synergies
- Maintain model assumption “source of truth” directory
- Tooling & program investment analysis & ownership
- Working with global team members requires flexibility and respect of time zone requirements (meeting schedules, communication timelines, etc.); key business partners located in Asia
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounting
- Previous experience with budgeting and analysis, preferably in consumer products or manufacturing
- Objective oriented with a strong emphasis on business partnership and continuous improvement
- Effective communication and social skills, proven ability to partner cross-functionally
- Proven analytical and organizational skills, with strong accountability
- Demonstrated ability to lead competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Highly visible role with the ability to effectively partner with and/or challenge senior leadership
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills required, especially the need to have exceptional modeling skills in Excel
