ezCater’s sales development program is one of Boston’s best jumping-off points for a career in platform/SaaS/Technology sales. Our Sales Training Associate boot camp balances an academic approach with practical hands-on learning — as well as 1-on-1 manager coaching — to prepare you for ultimate success. Upon completion of the training program candidates are eligible for promotion to become an Account Executive. Eligibility is based on experience, performance, and available opportunities.
The Sales Training Associate program combines an exciting boot camp, practical hands on learning, 1x1 Manager training, as well as classroom exercises to prepare you for success. With your dedication to the program, you should walk away with a minimum of the following skills/benefits:
- A full understanding of sales processes and fundamentals, including prospecting, cold calling, effective script creation, and email campaign sequencing.
- A nuanced approach to phone conversations with diverse personas/prospects with varied levels of seniority.
- The ability to lead online demonstrations and webinars utilizing screen-sharing tools.
- Specialized market, product, and technical knowledge.
- An expert grasp of “Solution-Based Sales.”
As a Sales Trainee, you’d be responsible for:
- Learning the ezCater value propositions and communicating it to prospective clients.
- Making a high volume of outbound calls plus other cold outreach approaches (email and LinkedIn).
- Building relationships in a limited time frame to develop trust and rapport.
- Consistently meeting or exceeding expectations on delegated sales performance objectives.
- Taking direction from multiple teams within ezCater (account strategy, marketing, etc).
- Impeccable attention to detail while documenting sales in Hubspot and Freedom (ezCater’s internal database).
- Bouncing back quickly and avoiding frustration despite potential rejection.
- Frequently and flexibly switching between tasks.
What we’ll need from you:
- Intrinsic motivation, hustle, and enthusiasm.
- Extraordinary communication and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- The desire to be on a fast-paced, winning sales team and take on new challenges on a daily basis.
This position is a full-time, salaried, entry-level role and offers a comprehensive introduction to foundational sales.
