Fire Protection Engineer

AutoStore is experiencing significant success in the global market, with increased revenue, product sales, and workforce. As we expand into new markets, we face new challenges related to regulatory requirements, standards, and specifications.
We are currently seeking a solution-oriented Fire Protection Engineer to work globally, ensuring that AutoStore's products comply with specific requirements in all countries where the company operates. This position is part of the operations organization and reports directly to the Director of Product Safety.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping and enhancing the safety of new innovative warehouse solutions globally, quickly becoming an expert in the field. You must be eager to learn, flexible, and a skilled communicator when dealing with diverse cultures, as well as motivated to work internationally with some travel involved.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise R&D compliance team so that AutoStore complies with regulatory requirements and specifications in all countries where the company operates.
- Conduct detailed risk management and FMEA while preparing documentation for the AutoStore system.
- Contribute to the preparation of documentation and guidelines for products, installation and certification needs.
- Act as an advisor and problem solver for the sales team at AutoStore.
- Build relationships and represent AutoStore in various contexts.
- Opportunity to deliver speeches, presentations, or courses on new technology and test results for consultants, professionals, and other stakeholders in the industry.
- Collaboration across departments at AutoStore, as well as with customers, partners, and authorities across borders.
Qualifications we are looking:
- Higher technical education in engineering with an emphasis on fire protection, occupational health and safety, or an adjacent safety related field; professional qualification such as PE license is a plus.
- 3+ years of related fire protection, IBC, IFC, NFPA, FM Global Datasheet
- Strong technical understanding and knowledge of fire dynamics, fire protection, regulations, and worker safety
- Experience in worker safety consulting, and insurance is an advantage
- Experience with quality management systems, product development, and procedure follow-up is advantageous.
- Desirable to have international work experience and good cultural understanding.
