Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Automation Manager to join our Software Development team to lead our test automation efforts. This is key to our business, key to our customer satisfaction, and key to our ability to reach the next level of software innovation. This is an opportunity to make an enormous impact. Rapid innovation is contingent on strong testing strategy and execution. You will have the job of building an automation team from the ground up. You will build a team of engineers to develop automation frameworks for testing the entire suite of technical components in Chewy’s infrastructure. You will providing management oversight, strategy planning and directly manage the team of engineers.

 What you'll do:

  • Recruit, mentor, retain and lead talented QA automation engineers
  • Work closely with development, product and design leadership to deliver Chewy’s consumer applications.
  • Drive implementation of automation test frameworks across the engineering team
  • Communicate clearly and openly with internal and external stakeholders regarding progress, roadblocks and timelines
  • Drive strategic initatives to reduce time to market, increase quality and expand test automation.
  • Work directly with your team to architect test frameworks and infrastructure for test automation.
  • Technical project scope
  • You will be managing large projects across multiple teams to accomplish automation goals.

 What you'll need:

  • Bachelor degree combined with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong history of delivering successful projets with high quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 10+ years of combined Quality Engineering and/or Software Develompent experience
  • 7+ years of experience working in Agile development environments
  • 5+ years of experience with Test Automation tools/frameworks
  • 5+ management experience managing QA and/or Softare
  • 3+ years of experience with Java
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Experience with open source test automation projects
  • Understanding of internet tools and protocols (IP, HTTP, TCP, DNS)
  • Experience in cross-platform, multi-browser web page development
  • Passion for ensuring high-quality architecture and customer experience

  • Ecommerce experience
  • Experience with warehouse management systems
  • Experience with mobile development and test automation (IOS and Android)
