QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to join our Test Automation Services team focused on enhancing and testing iZotope’s customer-facing web and desktop applications. The right candidate will possess demonstrable experience developing automated tests and testing software products, has the ability to work within different scripting languages, has fluency in critiquing requirements and writing test plans, and has experience working with Agile software development.

This position is located in our corporate headquarters in Cambridge, MA. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test automation for a collection of internal/external desktop and web applications
  • Work closely with Software Development and Product Management to understand product/testing requirements for new feature development
  • Leverage technical expertise to effectively test new functionality or changes within iZotope’s product portfolio
  • Create, execute and maintain functional, system, integration and regression test suites using automated methods
  • Foster a continuous improvement and process culture, and an internal/external customer mentality

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in test automation
  • Solid knowledge of a scripting language (Python preferred)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control utilities
  • Experience with manual and automated testing of web and desktop applications
  • Experience with critiquing requirements and writing test plans and test cases against them
  • Ability to collaborate with software engineers to improve quality engineering practices
  • Ability to balance multiple high priority projects with attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with Software QA Engineers to reduce test friction
  • Team player comfortable working in small/medium sized teams
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with object orientated programming
  • Familiarity with TDD/BDD methodologies and writing clean and well documented code
  • Familiarity with C++ and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with C++ bindings a plus
  • Familiarity with audio/DSP systems a plus
  • Holistic perspective on software quality
