Why You Matter
Carbon Black is on a significant growth track and the HR team is critical to the future success of our company. In this role of Principal HR Partner, you will be accountable for anticipating the talent needs of your business unit and working with the line to develop and implement smart people strategies. In this role, you will operate as a member of your business unit’s Leadership Team and be sought out for your subject matter expertise. You will be known for your keen ability to predict the future, lead with vision and execute against strategic plans.
What You’ll Do
- Business Partner. Evaluate business priorities and translate them into a strategic HR plans. Partner with the business on organizational design and talent strategy. Provide vision and develop detailed plans to effectively address organizational challenges (current and future). Ensure plans are executed against, leading teams and matrixed resources as needed.
- Coach/Advisory. Provide coaching to managers and leaders and act as employee advocate. Mediate complex situations that arise.
- HR Team Partnership. Act as the intermediary between HR sub-functions, line management and employees. Partner closely with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure that we are able to meet the growth demands of the business unit and the Total Rewards team to ensure our teams are appropriately incented.
- Program Management. Manage global HR programs and initiatives within the business unit.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven ability to diagnose business challenges, identify strategic solutions and execute a plan
- Experience leading in a matrixed organizational structure
- Organizational Design and Talent strategy planning experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in team dynamics, leadership effectiveness, and facilitation
- Ability to relate, influence and coach at all levels in the organization
- Unquestioned integrity and the experience to effectively address complex HR issues
- BA/BS with minimum 10+ years of related HR business partner experience
