We are seeking a Payroll Team Lead to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity out of our Waltham, MA office.
Job Summary
The Payroll Team Lead is an important role in Imprivata's Human Resources Department. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness with a focus on meeting deadlines. This role has a great deal of interaction with a diverse group of internal clients at all levels of the organization in a fast-paced and growing organization. This position is responsible for the technical elements of Imprivata's global payrolls including taxes, applicable benefit deductions, garnishments, and W-2 year end filings. It is key to be able to take initiative and ask questions when needed as well as a high degree of confidentiality and discretion is required. This role is located at Imprivata's headquarters in Waltham, MA
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Subject matter expert and escalation point of contact for the payroll team.
  • Assist in the processing of the U.S. semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payrolls in ADP.
  • Assist in the processing of the international semi-monthly, monthly and off-cycle payrolls in ADP Celergo.
  • Responsible for any necessary tasks, reporting, and/or processes related to quarter-end and year-end
  • Maintain and manage Imprivata's time and attendance system.
  • Review and certify payroll signoffs relating to all payroll inputs, audits, files, compliance, and other related payroll documents.
  • Complete employee verification of employment document requests.
  • Assist with providing payroll-related information and audit requests.
  • Identify opportunities for and implement continuous process improvement and transformational projects.
  • Handle payroll tax notices and garnishments as needed.
  • Resolve complex payroll processing and employee issues.
  • Applies for and sets up withholding taxes in new states.
  • Ensure records and processes comply with company and legal regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned


General HR Responsibilities

  • Participates in presenting payroll information during employee new hire orientation.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related discipline or equivalent experience in a professional environment.
  • 5+ years of experience of payroll processing for a global organization.
  • Proficient with ADP Workforce Now and time/attendance systems required.
  • Proficient with ADP Celergo preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal payroll tax laws and garnishments
  • Advanced skill set of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize, be detail oriented, and have good organization skills.
  • Keen focus on accuracy, timeliness, responsiveness and have a customer service approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.


This position offers a salary range of $101,800.00 to $111,800.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here . This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
